Answer: Taxes, Credits, Child and Dependant Care Credit

Is the child and dependent care tax credit only for low-income working taxpayers?

If you pay someone to look after your child while you work, you are eligible for a special child care tax credit. This credit can be significant -- even if you earn a high income, you may receive 20% of your child-care expenses back, up to a maximum of $3,000 in expenses for one child and $6,000 for two.

For details, see IRS Publication 503: Child and Dependent Care Expenses.
