Answer: Insurance, Health, Types of Plans

What medical expenses can I pay with money from my flexible spending account?

You can use your flexible spending account (FSA) to pay for any medical expenses that would be deductible, such as eyeglasses, contact lenses, allergy shots, dental care, prescription drugs, chiropractic sessions and the deductibles on your medical and dental plans.

You cannot use FSA money to pay for elective expenses such as cosmetic surgery, electrolysis, health club memberships and similar expenses.
