Jubak's Dividend Stocks for Income Investors
Jim Jubak created this portfolio to help income investors navigate the very treacherous interest-rate environment he outlined in two columns on Oct. 14 and Dec. 6, 2005. The goal of the portfolio is to find equity investments with yields at or above the yield paid by the 10-year Treasury note that are also safer than those Treasurys. As of October 2009, the portfolio had earned a 17% total return since inception versus a loss of 17% for the S&P 500 over the same period.
