Overview
The investment seeks capital appreciation, income is a secondary consideration. The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in securities of financial services companies that the manager believes are available at market prices less than their value based on certain recognized or objective criteria (intrinsic value). It generally invests the equity portion of its portfolio substantially in mid- and large cap companies and may invest a significant portion of its equity portfolio in small-cap companies. Mid- and large cap companies are considered to be those with market capitalization values greater than $1.5 billion.
