Overview
The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets in domestic common stocks, preferred stocks, convertible preferred stocks warrants and rights of small-cap companies. It considers a small-cap company if it has a market capitalization of $1 billion or less, or if the company’s market capitalization would place it in the lowest 20% total market capitalization of companies that have equity securities listed on a U.S. national securities exchange or trading on the NASDAQ system. The fund targets companies with individual market capitalizations of $2 billion or less at the time of initial purchase.
