First PacTrust Bancorp Inc is a savings and loan holding company and holds all the stock of Pacific Trust Bank (the Bank). The Company is a community-oriented financial institution offering a variety of financial services to meet the needs of the communities it serves. The Company has nine banking offices primarily serving San Diego and Riverside Counties in California. The principal business consists of attracting retail deposits from the general public and investing these funds primarily in permanent loans secured by first mortgages on owner-occupied, one- to four-family residences and a variety of consumer loans. The Company also originates loans secured by multi-family and commercial real estate and, commercial business loans. The Company offers a variety of deposit accounts having a range of interest rates and terms, which generally include savings accounts, money market deposits, certificate accounts and checking accounts.
