Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. provides contract development services and research equipment to global pharmaceutical, medical research and biotechnology companies and institutions. The Company operates in two business segments: contract research services and research products, both of which address the bioanalytical, pre-clinical and clinical research needs of drug developers. The Company is focusing its products business on expediting pre-clinical screening of developmental drugs. The Company designs, develops, manufactures and markets robotic sampling systems and accessories, in vivo microdialysis collection systems, ohysiology monitoring tools, and liquid chromatography and electrochemistry instruments platform. On June 30, 2008, Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. sold its Baltimore Clinical Pharmacology Research Unit (CPRU) to Algorithme Pharma USA Inc. (AP USA) and Algorithme Pharma Holdings Inc. (Algorithme).
